An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted today from10:10 am to 11:40 am. There were 97 children in direct care and supervision of 13 staff members. The children were engaged in various learning activities such as: Learning about continents, number rods, art and sounds of the alphabet. Children were also observed playing outdoors. 3 children's records, 4 staff records, and other center's records were reviewed. Areas of concerns are listed in the violation notice. Standard #: 22.1-289.035-B-4 Description: Based on records review, the center did not obtain results of an out of state criminal record check (CRC) for an employee prior to the first day of employment.
Evidence:
1. Staff # 1's first day of employment was 3/15/23.
2. Staff # 1's record indicated that Staff # 1 resided in Massachusetts and California within the last 5 years.
3. Results for the criminal record check for the two states have not been obtained to this date.Plan of Correction: The CRC's will be submitted. Licensing will be updated as soon as the results have been obtained.
