Comments:
An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted on June 6, 2023. There were 65 children present with 13 staff supervising. The physical plant, children's records, staff records, evacuation logs, attendance logs, cribs, menu's and the playground area were reviewed. The children were observed working with markers, washing item (Water Theme Week) and the infants were engaged in water play on the playground. Description: Based on observation, the center failed to maintain, in a way that is accessible to all staff who work with children, a current written list of all children's allergies, sensitivities, and dietary restrictions documented in the allergy plan required in 8VAC20-780-60 A 8. This list shall be dated and kept confidential in each room or area where children are present.

Evidence:
In the Pre-Primary room, there allergy list was present; however, was not kept in a confidential manner.

Plan of Correction: Corrected on the day of the inspection.

Description: Based on observation, the center failed to ensure that hazardous substances such as cleaning materials, insecticides, and pesticides shall be kept in a locked place using a safe locking method that prevents access by children.

Evidence:
In the unlocked kitchen, there were cleaning supplies under the sink.

Plan of Correction: Materials were locked away during the time the inspector was on site.
