An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted today between the hours of 3:10p-5:15pm. There were 47 children directly supervised by 4 staff at time of arrival. The physical plant, 5 staff records, 5 children?s records, evacuation drills, and emergency supplies, were inspected. Children were observed playing games on a computer, playing with legos, making crafts, and practicing for an upcoming performance. Areas of non-compliance are identified in the Violation Notice.

Standard #: 8VAC20-780-550-G Description: Based on record review, documentation of shelter in place and lockdown drills were not maintained.
Evidence:
1. The center only documented one shelter in place drill, which was dated 5/15/2022
2. The most recent lockdown drill documented by the center was dated 9/14/2021.
3. The center supervisor stated both the second shelter in place drill and lockdown drill were completed, but not filled out on the form used to document drills completed.Plan of Correction: We will remember to write down drills when completed.
