A subsidy health and safety (SHSI) inspection was completed.? A licensing inspection was also conducted on this date.? Both inspections combined cover subsidy and safety regulations.? Only subsidy requirements that are not covered in licensing standards were reviewed during this supplemental inspection. Children were observed playing outside, eating snack, and during check out time.

Standard #: 8VAC20-790-600-F Description: Based on record review and staff interview the vendor did not ensure Staff who work directly with children shall, in addition to preservice and orientation training, annually attend at least 16 hours of training and staff development activities, to include the departments health and safety update course.
Evidence: The director confirmed that Staff #3 (date of hire 11-11-2020) did not have documentation for their 2022 health and safety update course. Their last health and safety update course certificate was dated 7-9-2021.
Plan of Correction: Staff has completed this training as of 6/10/2023.
