A mandated monitoring inspection and complaint investigation were conducted on March 16, 2023 from 09:00am-11:15am. There were 79 children in care with 13 staff supervising. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas of administration, physical plant, staffing and supervision, programming, medication, special care and emergencies and nutrition. A total of 5 child records and 5 staff records were reviewed. Children were observed playing outside, walking to and from the playground, playing in small groups in classrooms and participating in circle time.
Interviews were conducted, documentation was reviewed for the complaint investigation regarding supervision. There was not a preponderance of evidence to support the allegation regarding supervision therefore the complaint was deemed not valid.
Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

Evidence: In the preprimary class, there were 2 unused electrical outlets without a protective cover in place.Plan of Correction: We will put in outlet covers on all unused outlets and will remind cleaning crew to replace them when they take them out.

Evidence: Child 1's diaper ointment was not labeled with their name.Plan of Correction: Based on observation, diaper ointment kept at the facility did not meet all following requirements.
