The Licensing Inspector initiated and completed an unannounced monitoring inspection on 6/27/2023. The inspector was on site from 9:05am until 10:30am.
There were 21 children under the care of 3 staff. The ages of the children ranged from five to ten years old. The children were observed during indoor free play and outdoor play. Four children?s record and three staff records were reviewed.
Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law, and violations are documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

Standard #: 8VAC20-780-70 Description: Based on record review, the center failed to ensure all information for staff was maintained on the site.
Evidence: Center had no emergency information on site for staff #1, staff #2 or Staff #3. All staff files were kept at a Central location offsite.Plan of Correction: Staff will fill out emergency contact information today.
Standard #: 8VAC20-780-560-G Description: Based on observation, the center failed to ensure when food is brought from home the food container shall be sealed and clearly dated and labeled in a way that identifies the owner.
Evidence: All children?s lunchboxes were in their cubbies. There was no name or date on the lunchboxes.Plan of Correction: Staff will label lunches when children come in in the morning.
