The following was discussed with the program director:
Materials and equipment available shall include an adequate supply as appropriate for each age group of arts and crafts materials, texture materials, construction materials, music and sound materials, books, social living equipment, and manipulative equipment. It is recommended these materials are readily available with variety to the children in care

A renewal inspection was conducted on 07/06/2023. There were 46 children present and 9 staff. A tour of the facility was conducted, in addition to a record review and interviews with staff. The Inspector reviewed 4 children?s records and 10 staff records, along with any requested program records submitted by the facility to determine if required documentation was complete. Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance(s) with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

Standard #: 8VAC20-780-270-A Description: Based on observation the center did not ensure all areas and equipment of the center were maintained in a safe condition.
Evidence:
The shelf in the infant room that held bottle warmers had peeling particle board.Plan of Correction: The particle board will be repaired.
Standard #: 8VAC20-780-430-I Description: Based on observation the center did not ensure all personal articles were individually assigned.
Evidence:
In the infant room the pacifiers were not labeled or individually assigned.Plan of Correction: The staff will label the pacifiers to identify who they belong to.
