Comments:
A non-mandated monitoring inspection was conducted on July 6, 2023 from 2:20pm-3:45pm. There were 23 children in care with 5 staff supervising. The children were observed waking up from nap, putting their cots away, using the bathroom, washing their hands and helping with the transition. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas of administration, physical plant, staffing and supervision. A total of 5 child records and 5 staff records were reviewed.

Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

Standard #: 8VAC20-780-160-A
Description: Based on record review, staff members must submit documentation of a negative tuberculosis screening completed by their first day of employment.

Evidence: Staff 1 has a tuberculosis screening completed on 5/10/23. (Staff 1, DOH 2/24/23)

Plan of Correction: We will ensure all tuberculosis screenings are submitted by their first day of employment.
