An unannounced monitoring inspection was initiated and completed on 07/19/2023. The inspector was on site from 11:20am until 1:00pm.
There were 31 children, ages twenty-one months to 5 years old under the supervision of ten staff. Children were observed during lunchtime and nap time. Five children's records and five staff records were reviewed.
Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law, and violations are documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

Standard #: 8VAC20-780-510-I Description: Based on review of medication the center failed to obtain written authorization from a parent or guardian for prescription medication.
Evidence: Child #4 had medication on site during the inspection on 7/19/2023. There was no authorization from parent, or doctor to administer.Plan of Correction: Parent will fill out the form to authorize administration.
