The following unannounced complaint inspection took place on 07/24/2023, between the hours of 1:30 pm through 2:30 pm, on site at the child day center located in Moorefield Station, Virginia. Based on all available evidence, the following was the findings for the area of the standard that was in review:

Standard #: 8VAC20-780-500-B Complaint related: No Description: Based on interview, children were not changed immediately when their diaper became wet.
Evidence -
1. The center director stated (during an interview conducted on the date of inspection - 07/24/2023) that the center has a policy in place that the children are checked every 2 hours and soiled diapers are changed immediately.
2. Child #1 developed a rash and experienced swelling on 07/19/2023.Plan of Correction: The center has put into place a schedule for Child #1 to check their diaper every hour and apply diaper cream after every change. The CDC shared a copy of this schedule and the diapering log for the current date with the Licensing Inspector.
