Today an unannounced Monitoring Inspection took place between the hours of 3:20pm-4:45pm. There were 40 children with 10 staff within the supervision guidelines. The children were observed playing games, watching a movie, being dismissed for the day and other organized activities. A complete inspection of the physical plant, children and staff records, evacuation drill log, first aid kit, medication and emergency procedures were observed during this inspection. Violations were found during this inspection and are listed on the Violation Notice. Thank you for your cooperation during the inspection. Standard #: 8VAC20-780-540-E Description: Based on observation, the required nonmedical emergency supplies were not available.
Evidence:
1. There was not a working, battery-operated radio in the building being used by children. There was a radio, but there were no batteries available so it was not in operable condition.Plan of Correction: We will get batteries by tomorrow.
