Comments:
A renewal inspection was initiated on 7/26/2023 and concluded on 7/26/2023. There were 99 children directly supervised by 16 staff members. Children were observed engaged in group activities, stamping, marker art, ice-cream art, dice game, diapering and hand washing and naptime. The physical plant, 5 child records, 5 staff records, medications, evacuation drills, emergency supplies and attendance were inspected. Physical plant issues were cited in the complaint investigation that was also conducted this day. Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program. Description: Based on a review of staff records, staff have not completed within 90 calendar days of employment The Virginia Department of Education- sponsored orientation course.
Evidence: Staff # 4, date of employment 3/20/2023 has not completed The Virginia Department of Education- sponsored 10 hour orientation course.

Plan of Correction: The staff will complete the training orientation and the certificate will be placed in the staff's record.
