Comments:
A monitoring inspection was completed on July 27, 2023 at the center. There were 49 children present, ranging from infancy to school age with 17 staff supervising and 2 administrative staff on site. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas of administration, physical plant, staffing and supervision, programming, medication, special care and emergencies and nutrition. A total of 6 child records and 5 staff records were reviewed. Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program. Description: Based on observation and photograph, the center did not ensure all hazardous substances were kept in a locked place using a safe locking method that prevents access by children.

Evidence: In the Young Infant room, there was a bottle of surface disinfectant cleaner observed unlocked on the diapering station. A photograph of observation during the inspection.

Plan of Correction: The staff put the cleaner away immediately. The center director will remind staff to put all hazardous substance in locked cabinet after use.
