Discussed the timefram of the door handles being replaced and the work being completed in the restrooms in classroom. Reviewed over supplies and documents needed on vehicles that are trnsporting children, medication administration authorization forms, and checking the outlet covers.

A unannounced mandates monitoring inspection was initiated on November 16, 2023 from 12:20pm - 1:56 pm. There were 14 children with 5 staff present. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas of administration, physical plant, staffing and supervision, programming, medication, special care and emergencies and nutrition. A total of three children records and three staff records were reviewed. The children were observed sleeping. The outside area and vehicles were inspected.
Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

Standard #: 8VAC20-780-160-A Description: Based on record review, the licensee did not ensure each staff member and individual from an independent contractor shall submit documentation of a negative tuberculosis screening. ocumentation of the screenin shall be submitted at the time of employment and prior to coming into contact with children. The documentation shall have been completed within the last 30 calendar days of the date of employment and be signed by a physician, physician's designee, or an official of the local health department.
