An announced initial inspection was conducted on August 15, 2023 from 9:00 A.M.-11:00 A.M. The facility was toured and all indoor and outdoor areas to be used for care were measured for capacity. Some items observed/reviewed during the inspection included: emergency evacuation maps & procedures, parent arrival and departure procedures, required posted information, first aid kit and non-medical emergency supplies, one staff record and three agents records were reviewed.
A recommendation will be made for a six month conditional license with a capacity of 50 serving children ages 2 1/2 years-6 years of age.
Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

Standard #: 8VAC20-780-540-C Description: Based on review of first aid kits, the center failed to ensure that the first aid kit contained all the required items.
Evidence:
1. The first aid kit both upstairs and downstairs only contained one triangular bandage.
2. Administration verified that there was only one triangular bandage in the first aid kits.Plan of Correction: Administration placed an order triangular bandages and will add to the first aid kits when they arrive.
