A subsidy health and safety (SHSI) inspection was conducted on September 7, 2023 from 10:34 A.M.-1:00 P.M. There were eleven children present with three staff supervising. A licensing inspection was also conducted on this date. Both inspections combined cover subsidy health and safety regulations. Only subsidy requirements that are not covered in licensing standards were reviewed during this supplemental inspection.
Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

Standard #: 8VAC20-790-600-F Description: Based on review of staff records, the center failed to ensure that departments health and safety training course was completed annually.
Evidence:
1. Staff # 3's file did not contain an updated health and safety course on file. The updated training was required by 08/16/2023.
2. Administration verified that the annual training had not been completed.Plan of Correction: Administration will notify the staff member of the required training and will create a a document to track when staff members annual updates are required.
