A renewal inspection was initiated and concluded on 9/20/2023.There were 58 children present with 10 staff supervising and 4 administrators. The children were observed during lunch time and nap time. A total of 7 child records and 5 staff records were reviewed. The inspection started at 12:15 pm and concluded at 3:00 pm.
Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

Standard #: 8VAC20-780-350-O Description: Based on observation and staff interview the center did not ensure the ratio for balanced-mixed-age groupings of children shall be one staff member for every 14 children.
Evidence: The director confirmed that Staff #4, in the Children?s House 2 room, was alone with 18 children ages 3-6.Plan of Correction: Additional staff will be assigned during lunch period.
