Several new staff were still within their 90 day grace period in obtaining the required 10 hour Virginia Preservice Training course.
Licensing Inspector (LI) met the new Assistant Director.
Discussion on college transcripts and education credit hours.
Discussion of those staff that have lived out-of-state; it is only in regards to the last 5 years within the USA and its territories.
Discussion and clarification of the stipulation on the CDC license (No more than 5 children under 2 1/2 years of age at any one time).

This monitoring inspection was initiated by licensing staff and concluded on 10/04/2023, between the hours of 10 am to 12 pm. There were 60 preschool children present, with 9 classroom staff supervising, across 7 different groups. The children were engaged in the following: story time, centers, outdoor large motor skills, games, learning, bathroom breaks, hand washing, lunch, and other organized activities. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas of administration; physical plant; staffing and supervision; programming; medication; special care and emergencies; and nutrition. A total of 5 children records, and 6 new staff records were reviewed.
The information gathered during the inspection determined that there was not a violation to an applicable standard, code, and/or law. Therefore, a Violation Notice was not issued.
