An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted 9/27/2023 from 2:30pm through 3:00pm. Off site staff file review was conducted 10/11/2023 from 11:00am through 1:15pm. There were 20 children directly supervised by 2 staff. The physical plant, programming, menu, 2 staff records, 5 children?s records, 1 medication, emergency drills, injury reports, emergency supplies, and policies were inspected. Children were observed reading books, playing a group game, and doing homework. Positive interactions between children and staff were observed during this inspection. There was an abundant supply of age appropriate materials for the children and the center was clean and organized. Both staff on site are current in CPR/First Aid, Daily Health Observation, and Medication Administration Training. Areas of non-compliance are identified in the Violation Notice.

Standard #: 22.1-289.035-A Description: Based on record review, the center did not obtain repeat Virginia Child Abuse and Neglect Central Registry search results every five years for all staff members.
Evidence: Staff #1's (Date of Hire: 8/23/2018) most recent Virginia Child Abuse and Neglect Central Registry search results on file were completed 10/1/2018.Plan of Correction: In the future we will make sure we send out for Central Registry month in advance.
