Standard #: 8VAC20-780-280-B Description: Based on observation, the center did not ensure that hazardous substances were kept in a locked place using a safe locking method that prevents access by children.
Evidence:
1)During inspection in the laundry area directly off the main hall where there is no door or lock, a jug of clothes detergent was stored on the floor.
2)During inspection in the resource area directly off the main hall where there is no door or lock, there were 26 containers of disinfectant stored on an open shelf.Plan of Correction: The Center Manager ensured that both the Laundry
detergent and the containers of disinfectants were
relocated immediately. They were moved to a
locked space using a safety lock that is
inaccessible to children while the Licensing
Inspector was still on site.
