Standard #: 8VAC20-780-280-B Description: Based on observation, the center failed to ensure that hazardous substances, such as cleaning materials, were kept in a locked place using a safe locking method that prevents access by children.
Evidence: 1. In the two year old classroom there was an unlocked cabinet that contained three cans of shaving cream with labels that state "keep out of the reach of children" and "caution." There was a can of spray paint in another unlocked cabinet with a label that states "keep out of reach of children" and "danger."
2. In the preschool classroom there was an unlocked cabinet under the sink within reach of the children that contained disinfectant and Mr. Clean cleanser with labels that stated "keep out of the reach of children" and "caution."Plan of Correction: Not available online.
