An unannounced Monitoring inspection was conducted this date. A total of 57 children with 7 staff were onsite. The children were napping in the majority of the classrooms. Some children in the infant room were awake and being held by staff while being bottle fed, some children were playing on the floor with staff engaged with them. Walk through of all occupied classrooms was made. Children were observed sleeping on cots, spaced apart adequately with staff close by to provide adequate supervision. The center was decorated with fall/harvest decorations such as pumpkins, artwork the children completed and a new "beehive" bulletin board with current postings. In one classroom, mobiles were hanging from the ceiling that were made out of natural resources the children obtained on a nature walk near the center. No new medication needs from the last inspection. The center was found clean and maintained. Observation of parents picking up children in the late afternoon was made. The lobby was filled with treat donations for the upcoming "trunk or treat" festivity next week. Positive interaction between management and parents/children was observed. A total of 4 children's records and 3 new staff records were reviewed and found complete. No violations were determined today. This inspection occurred between 1:30pm and 3:20pm.
