A subsidy health and safety (SHSI) inspection was initiated on October 26, 2023, and concluded on October 26, 2023. There were 24 children present with eight staff supervising. A licensing inspection was also conducted on this date. Both inspections combined cover subsidy health and safety regulations. Only subsidy requirements that are not covered in licensing standards were reviewed during this supplemental inspection.
Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program

Standard #: 8VAC20-790-600-D-1 Description: Based on a review of staff records and interview, the vendor did not ensure all staff had documentation of current certification in cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) appropriate to the age of children in care within 90 days of the date of employment.
Evidence:
1. The CPR certification in the record for staff #1 (employed 6/13/23) did not have documentation of current certification in cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR). All staff who work directly with children shall have within 90 days of the date of employment certification in cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR).
2. A member of management stated that staff #1 did not have certification in CPR and staff #1 is scheduled for a class on 11/04/23.Plan of Correction: Not available online. Contact Inspector for more information.
