Comments:
An unannounced monitoring inspection was completed from 11:00am until 12:20pm. There were 23 children and 4 staff present.

The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas of administration, physical plant, staffing and supervision, programming, medication, special care and emergencies and nutrition. A total of 5 staff records and 5 children?s records were reviewed.

Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violation were documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

Standard #: 8VAC20-780-40-H
Description: Based on record review, the center did not maintain public liability insurance for bodily injury for each center site with a minimum limit of at least $500,000 each occurrence and with a minimum limit of $500,000 aggregate.
Evidence:
The insurance documentation stated it had expired 01/02/2023.

Plan of Correction: The director will get an updated copy of the insurance certificate.
