Comments:
An unannounced mandated inspection was completed from10:50 until 12:20. There were 11 children and three staff present.

The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas of administration, physical plant, staffing and supervision, programming, medication, special care and emergencies and nutrition. A total of two staff records and 5 children?s records were reviewed.


Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violation were documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

Violations:
Standard #: 8VAC20-780-60-A
Description: Based on record review, the center failed to have all the required information in the child files.
Evidence:
Child file #4 did not have documentation of proof of ID and age.

Plan of Correction: Staff will get the documentation from the parent.

Standard #: 8VAC20-780-320-B
Description: Based on temperature reading, the water was more than 120 degrees.
Evidence:
The water temperature measured 129 degrees in the faucet that children use in the classroom.

Plan of Correction: Staff will notify maintenance o adjust the temperature.
