Comments:
An unannounced Monitoring inspection was conducted today. A total of 84 children with 13 staff were onsite today. All 8 classrooms were occupied and observed today. The classroom doors were creatively decorated for a door decorating contest in which the PreK classroom won. Classrooms were maintained and decorated with seasonal artwork such as painted pumpkins, ghosts and fall colors which correlated with the current lesson. Dioramas were on display in the PreK classroom which children had completed. Staff were observed sitting near children while the finished lunch and transitioned to nap time. Diapering and hand washing procedures were observed in the infant room. A total of 5 children's records and 4 staff records were reviewed. The previous violations were reviewed and the corrective actions were verified. This inspection occurred between 11:40am and 2pm. Thank you for your cooperation today. Please email me at: lisa.hudson@doe.virginia.gov with any questions.
