A monitoring inspection was initiated on 11-8-23 and concluded on 11-8-23. There were 39 children present with 7 staff supervising. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas of administration, physical plant, staffing and supervision, programming, medication, special care and emergencies and nutrition. A total of 5 child records and 5 staff records were reviewed. The inspection started at 10:15am and concluded at 11:50am.
The information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

Standard #: 8VAC20-780-550-D Description: Based on review of documents and discussions with the administration the center failed to ensure that monthly emergency evacuation drills were conducted as required.
Evidence:
There was no practiced evacuation drill for January 2023, April 2023, June 2023, August 2023, September 2023, and October 2023. Drills are to be conducted and recorded monthly.Plan of Correction: Monthly drills will be practiced and recorded monthly, as required, to ensure future compliance.
