Today an unannounced Renewal Inspection took place between the hours of 12:00pm-1:45pm. There were 5 classrooms observed with a total of 46 children with 12 staff within the supervision guidelines. The children were observed eating lunch, being held and fed bottles, taking a nap and other organized activities. A complete inspection of the physical plant, children and staff records, evacuation drill log and emergency materials were observed during this inspection. Violations were found during today?s inspection and can be viewed on the Violation Notice.

Standard #: 22.1-289-036-B-4 Description: Based on a review of board member records, all board members did not have a search of the
child abuse and neglect registry or equivalent registry from any state in which the individual
has resided in the preceding five years.
Evidence:
1. Board Member #1 did not have documentation on file of the results of a search of the child abuse and neglect registry or equivalent registry for New York where the individual has resided in the preceding five years.Plan of Correction: We will send out the missing out-of-state background check immediately and moving forward we will ensure all required out-of-state checks are completed within the required timeframe.
Standard #: 8VAC20-780-560-M Description: Based on observation, children were allowed to drink and eat while walking around.
Evidence:
1. In the Infant 2 classroom, 1 child was observed walking around and drinking a bottle. The same child was also observed eating from a squeeze pouch.Plan of Correction: We will make sure children are seated when eating/drinking at all times.
