An unannounced monitoring inspection was completed today. All rooms were in ratio during the inspection. Children were observed resting quietly, washing hands, eating snack and transitioning to outdoor play.
2 staff and 6 child records were reviewed (2 for allergy plans only).
Emergency evacuation drills, shelter-in-place drills, injury reports, cot spacing, top and bottom covers during rest, allergy lists and bathroom supplies were all in compliance today.
Violation was reviewed with the Director.

Standard #: 8VAC20-780-510-E Description: Based on a review of medications, one child's medication authorizations were past the duration of the authorization signed by the physician.
Evidence:
Child #1: Two emergency medication authorizations expired on 10/31/23.Plan of Correction: The parent has been given new authorization forms. I will ask the parent to sign medication authorizations for 10 days, in order to obtain completed forms from the physician.
