A subsidy health and safety (SHSI) inspection was conducted on November 13, 2023 from 10:15 A.M.-1:15 P.M. There were 44 children present with 12 staff supervising. A licensing inspection was also conducted on this date. Both inspections combined cover subsidy health and safety regulations. Only subsidy requirements that are not covered in licensing standards were reviewed during this supplemental inspection.
Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

Standard #: 8VAC20-790-600-F Description: Based on review of staff records, the center failed to ensure that the departments health and safety training course was completed annually.
Evidence:
1. Staff #1 did not complete the Annual Update for 2023. The update was required to be completed by 05/02/2023.
2. Staff #1 verified that the training had not been completed.Plan of Correction: The staff will complete the annual training update by 11/20/2023. Training requirements are under review and will be completed by 11/27/2023.
