Discussed the new digital system used for records, aquarium in the classroom , sanitation of toys, outdorr playground holes and orientation model form on the website.
- Comments:

A unannounced mandates monitoring inspection was initiated on November 16, 2023 from 9:10am - 11:25 am. There were 12 children with 6 staff present. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas of administration, physical plant, staffing and supervision, programming, medication, special care and emergencies and nutrition. A total of three children records and three staff records were reviewed. The children were observed freely playing, playing with playdoh and exploring the room. The outside area
was inspected.
Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

Standard #: 8VAC20-780-160-A Description: Based on record review, the licensee did not ensure each staff member and individual from an independent contractor shall submit documentation of a negative tuberculosis screening. cumentation of the screenin shall be submitted at the time of employment and prior to coming nto contact with children. The documentation shall have been completed within the last 30 calendar days of the date of employment and be signed by a physician, physician's designee, or an official of the local health department.
Evidence:
Staff #1 hire date 06/05/2023 the TB results were recieved 06/12/2023. Which the date of
results were recieved were after the date of employment.Plan of Correction: The Early Childhood Assistant Coordinator will talk with the Program Director and Human Resources ensure to have the TB documentation completed upon hire and before coming in contact with children.
Standard #: 8VAC20-780-280-B Description: Based on observation, the licensee did not ensure hazordous substances are kept locked place using a safe locking method that prevents access by children.
Evidence:
In the first classroom observed, there was hand lotion and handsantizer that were labeled with keep out of reach of children and warning on a shelf.Plan of Correction: The Early Childhood Assistant coordinator took immediate action after noticing a hazardous substance and asked the staff to remove it with out delay.
