Comments:
A unannounced mandates monitoring inspection was initiated on November 14, 2023 from 8:00 am - 8:40 am. There were 16 children with 2 staff present. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas of administration, physical plant, staffing and supervision, programming, medication, special care and emergencies and nutrition. A total of four children records and two staff records were reviewed. The children were observed departure from to the progrm to school m station activities and children singing in front of the program. The outside area was not inspected.

Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

Violations:
Standard #: 8VAC20-780-60-A-8
Description: Based on record review and staff interview, the licensee did not ensure a written care plan for each child with a diagnosed food allergy, to include instructions from a physician regarding the food to which the child is allergic and the steps to be taken in the event of a suspected or confirmed allergic reaction.

Evidence: Child #1 has a doctor diagnosed allergy but the center did not have a allergy action plan .
