Per ? 22.1-289.037 B of the Code of Virginia, failure to obtain background checks pursuant to ?? 22.1-289.035 and 22.1-289.036 shall be grounds for denial, revocation, or termination of a license.
The Director must send documentation to the Licensing Inspector that the background checks have been requested no later than 10 days following this notification November 30, 2023. Once the background check is received by the center, the results must be forwarded to the licensing inspector.

A renewal inspection was conducted on November 14, 2023 approximately 11:20 am to 1:00 pm. There were a total of 83 children with 19 staff members present. Children were observed during resting and eating lunch (meatballs, peas, pasta, fruit and milk). The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas of administration, physical plant, staffing and supervision, programming, medication were on-site, special care and emergencies and nutrition.
A total of 8 child records and 7 staff records were reviewed.
Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program.
