Violations:
Standard #: 8VAC20-780-80-A
Description: Based on review of the written attendance record, and staff interview, it was determined that the facility did not maintain a written record of daily attendance, that documents the arrival and departure of children in care as it occurs. Evidence: there were no children listed on the attendance sheet for 12/5/23, and staff stated that it hadn't been done yet. Documentation of previous day's attendance did not document children leaving and staff stated that they do not sign children out when they depart.

Plan of Correction: Attendance was updated during the inspection.

Standard #: 8VAC20-780-280-B
Description: Based on observation, the facility failed to ensure that hazardous substances such as cleaning materials were kept in a locked place using a safe locking method that prevents access by children. Evidence: there was a cannister of disinfectant wipes on an open shelf above the changing table and a can of disinfectant spray sitting above the paper towel holder in the bathroom, with labels that stated, "Caution, "Warning," and "Keep out of reach of children."

Plan of Correction: Hazardous substances were moved to a locked location during the inspection.
