An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted on 12/11/2023 from 9:30 a.m. to 10:50 a.m. There were 20 children present, ranging in ages from five months to four years old with eight staff supervising. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas of administration, physical plant, staffing and supervision, programming, medication, special care and emergencies and nutrition. A total of five child records and five staff records were reviewed.
Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

Standard #: 8VAC20-780-560-G Description: Based on observation and interview, the center failed to ensure that when food is brought from home, the food container is clearly dated and labeled in a way that identifies the owner.
Evidence:
1. In the one?s room, there was one cup without a date and a jar of food without a date. Staff confirmed that food was brought from home and that the food was not labeled with a date.
2. In the infant room, there was eight food containers without dates and two food containers without a name and a date. The staff confirmed that the food was brought from home and that the food was not labeled with a date and name.
3. In the three?s and four?s room, there were three lunchboxes without dates. The staff confirmed that the food in the lunchboxes were brought from home and that the lunchboxes were not labeled with a date.Plan of Correction: Not available online. Contact Inspector for more information.
