An unannounced monitoring inspection was completed from 4:15 until 5:10pm. There were 14 children and three staff present.
The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas of administration, physical plant, staffing and supervision, programming, medication, special care and emergencies and nutrition. A total of 4 staff records and 5 children?s records were reviewed.
Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violation were documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

Standard #: 8VAC20-780-280-B Description: Based on observation, the center did not keep all hazardous substance locked.
Evidence:
1. Cleaning supplies were in the staff backpack that was unlocked. 2. Cleaning supplies were on a cart in the gym that the children use.Plan of Correction: The director will makes sure all hazardous substances are locked.
