Comments:
An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted on December 14, 2023, from 10:30 a.m. through 11:30 a.m. Upon arrival, there were 101 children, ages 5 months through 5, in the care of 17 staff.

The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas of administration, physical plant, staffing and supervision, programming, medication, special care and emergencies and nutrition. A total of 10 children and 10 staff records were reviewed.

Information gathered during the inspection determined noncompliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the facility.

Description: Based on medication review the center failed to have one emergency medication, with the pharmacy label attached,to include: the child's name, the name of the medication, the dosage amount and the time or times to be given.

Evidence:

1. The medication and medication paperwork was reviewed for Child #5.
2. The medication did not contain the pharmacy label to include the child's name, the name of the medication, the dosage amount and the time/times to be given.
3. Staff confirmed the pharmacy label was not included on the medication.
