A monitoring inspection was initiated on 12/13/2023 and concluded on 12/13/2023. There were 48 children present, ranging in ages from 4 months to 5 years, with 12 staff supervising. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas of administration, physical plant, staffing and supervision, programming, medication, special care and emergencies and nutrition. A total of 5 child records and 6 staff records were reviewed.
Information gathered during the inspection determined noncompliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the facility.

Standard #: 22.1-289.035-A Description: Based on record review, the center failed to obtain central registry search results every five years for all employees.
Evidence:
1. The record of Staff 1 contained documentation of a central registry dated 06/08/2018, which expired 06/08/2023. Documentation of an updated central registry check dated 06/14/2023.Plan of Correction: I will make sure that the background checks are completed before the 5 years have expired.
