Standard #: 8VAC20-780-280-B Description: Based on observation and interview, the center failed to ensure that hazardous substances, such as cleaning materials, shall be kept in a locked place using a safe locking method that prevents access by children.
Evidence: 1. The Under the Sea classroom (2yr-3yr), had an unlocked cabinet under the sink in the bathroom containing cleaning materials, such as Lysol, bleach water, disinfectant spray, and cleaning duster. The labels on these products state "keep out of the reach of children" and "caution." 2.) Staff #3 confirmed the cabinet was unlocked.
