An unannounced monitoring inspection was initiated and completed on 01/24/2024. The inspector was on site from 9:45am until 12:00pm.
There were 30 children, ages 24 months to 5years old under the supervision of eight staff. Children were observed during indoor free play and lunchtime. Four children's records and four staff records were reviewed.
Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law, and violations are documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

Standard #: 8VAC20-780-270-A Description: Based on observation, the center failed to ensure areas and equipment of the center, inside and outside, shall be maintained in a clean, safe and operable condition.
Evidence:
1.In the younger three?s classroom, there was paint peeling off the wall in the bathroom. Staff stated children have picked at the paint while on the potty. This is a hazard to childrenPlan of Correction: Spot in bathroom will get painted.
