A Subsidy Health and Safety inspection was conducted on January 26, 2024 to review supplemental health and safety requirements. At the time of entrance, 14 children were in care with 4 staff members present. Children were observed during breakfast, engaged in group discussion, toy play, and handwashing. A licensing inspection was also conducted this date; the two inspections combined cover all subsidy health and safety requirements. Only subsidy requirements that are not covered in licensing standards are reviewed during this supplemental inspection. Violations were found during the supplemental subsidy health and safety inspection requirements and are identified on the violation notice.

Evidence:
1. Staff #3's record (Date of hire-01/07/2023) did not complete the department's annual health and safety update course. Documentation of the department's health and safety update course was dated 01/07/2023.Plan of Correction: The staff member will complete the department's health and safety update course by 02/09/2024. Management will ensure that the annual course will be completed annually for each staff member.
