Today we discussed outside riding equipment

An unannounced renewal inspection was initiated and concluded on November 30, 2023. There were 71 children present ages 11 months through five years old with 18 teaching staff and two administrators. A walking tour of the facility was completed inside and outside. Children and staff records were reviewed. Children were observed in teacher and self-directed activities including table top activities, music and movement, outside play, restroom routines, transitions and hand washing. A single violation regarding staff hand washing was observed and appears on the violation notice.

Standard #: 8VAC20-780-500-A Description: Based on observation the center failed to ensure that staff wash their hands with soap and running water after any contact with body fluids.
Evidence:
A staff in the three/four-year-old room wiped the runny of noses of three children, present for care, one right after the other ,without washing her hands between cleaning each child's nose.Plan of Correction: Not available online. Contact Inspector for more information.
