Comments:
An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted today from 11:00am-11:55am. There were 31children (infants-5yrs.) directly supervised by 8 staff. The physical plant, staff records, children?s records, medications, evacuation drills, injury reports, emergency supplies, and policies were inspected. Children were observed participating in group play, reading books, playing outside, and getting ready for sensory activities. Diapering and hand-washing procedures were also observed. There was an ample supply of materials for the children. Areas of non-compliance are identified in the Violation Notice.

Standard #: 8VAC20-780-280-B
Description: Based on observation, cleaning materials were not kept in a locked place as required.
Evidence:
There was a container of OXIFER wipes next to the sink in the 2's classroom and not kept in a locked place as required.

Plan of Correction: Locked during the inspection.

Standard #: 8VAC20-780-520-C
Description: Based on observation, diaper cream did not have written parent authorization .
Evidence: 3 of 4 diaper creams in the toddler room did not have name as required

Plan of Correction: We will update forms during nap.

Standard #: 8VAC20-780-560-G
Description: Based on observation, when food is brought from home, the food container was not labeled in a way in a way that identifies the owner and dated.
Evidence:
Bottles from home were not labeled with child's name and date.

Plan of Correction: We usually check the labels every morning, We will make sure they are labeled.
