An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted on 01/29/2024 from 10:05am to 10:55am. There were 39 children ages 5 years to age 11 years old supervised by 6 staff. The physical plant, programming, attendance, menus, 3 staff records, 3 children?s records, 4 medications with corresponding authorization records, emergency drills, injury reports, emergency supplies, and policies were reviewed. Children were observed participating in games, art, puzzles and reading. There was an adequate number of staff present with current certification in Medication Administration Training (MAT), CPR and First Aid, and Daily Health Observation (DHO) training. Areas of non-compliance are identified in the Violation Notice.

Standard #: 8VAC20-780-80-A Description: (Repeat Violation) Based on review of the written attendance record and interview with staff, the center did not ensure they maintained a written record of daily attendance for each group of children documenting the arrival and departure of each child in care as it occurs.
Evidence: During inspection, there were 39 children present, but the written record reflected there were 29 children present.Plan of Correction: Remind staff to fill out rosters as students enter the program.
