An unannounced renewal inspection started and ended on 1/31/24 from noon until 1:45. There were 10 children and 2 staff present.
The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas of administration, physical plant, staffing and supervision, programming, medication, special care and emergencies and nutrition. A total of 4 staff records and three children?s records were reviewed. Children were observed at lunch and during rest time.
Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violation were documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

Standard #: 22.1-289.035-B-4 Description: Based on record review, the center did not complete all the required out of state background checks.
Evidence:
Staff #3 indicted on the sworn disclosure form they had lived out of state in tow states in the last 5 years and the criminal background checks had not been completed prior to being hired.Plan of Correction: The necessary paperwork will be submitted immediately.
Standard #: 8VAC20-780-60-A Description: Based on record review, the center failed to have all the required information in the children's records.
Evidence:
Child #1 did not have two emergency addresses listed.Plan of Correction: The information will be gotten from the parents.
