A renewal inspection was initiated on 2/7/24 and concluded on 2/7/24. There were 12 children present with 3 staff supervising. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas of administration, physical plant, staffing and supervision, programming, medication, special care and emergencies and nutrition. A total of 5 child records and 3 staff records were reviewed. The inspection started at 10:30am and concluded at 11:40am.
Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

Standard #: 8VAC20-780-550-D Description: Based on review of documentation the facility failed to ensure that monthly practiced evacuation drills are conducted.
Evidence:
Documentation showed that there had not been a practiced emergency escape drill conducted in October 2023, December 2023, or January 2024.Plan of Correction: Monthly drills will be conducted and recorded as required to ensure future compliance and safety of the children.
