1. Discussed classroom ratios when a child has been enrolled that requires 1:1 staff:child supervision.
2. Reviewed training requirements when job responsibilities include caring for children with special needs. This is additional training specific to the child's developmental needs.

Conducted an unannounced complaint investigation at 9:25am into the care of children. Interviews conducted, observations made and records reviewed. There was insufficient evidence to support the allegations made however, there was one are area of non-compliance not reported but found, and another non-compliance not related to the investigation found. Standard #: 8VAC20-780-240-C Complaint related: Yes Description: Based on interviews conducted and records reviewed, the center failed to ensure that staff received sufficient training on their job responsibilities to meet the needs of a child with special needs. Evidence: There was no documentation of training specific to Child #4's developmental needs and staff reported that they did not receive training that would have helped them to meet the needs of the child.
