An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted February 8, 2024 approximately 12:15 pm to 1:25 pm. There were 57 children directly supervised by 15 staff. The physical plant, 8 staff records, 5 children's records, evacuation drills, emergency supplies, and policies were inspected. Children were observed participating in resting, tummy time, eating lunch (crackers, chicken noodles, pears and milk) reading books. There was an assortment of age appropriate materials for the children in care. Staff were engaged and interactive with the children.
Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

Standard #: 8VAC20-780-160-A Description: Systemic Deficiency
Based on staff records, the center did not obtain each staff member submitted documentation of a negative tuberculosis screening at the time of employment and prior to coming into contact with children.
Evidence:
1. Staff #2 (date of employment 4/04/2023) did not have tuberculosis screening results in record available for review during the inspection.Plan of Correction: Staff member went and got TB test done, got results 2/21/2024.
