22.1 EARLY CHILDHOOD CARE AND EDUCATION

A renewal inspection was conducted today, March 20, 2024. The inspector was on site from approximately 10:30 am until 2:45 pm. The director was present during the inspection. There were 139 children present, ranging in ages from four months to six years, with 26 staff supervising. Children were observed in a variety of activities including story time, outdoor play, centers, cooking activity making mashed potatoes, examining plastic bugs under a magnifying glass, and lessons on grouping and money. Lunch time was also observed. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas of administration, physical plant, staffing and supervision, programming, medication, special care and emergencies and nutrition. A total of ten child records, ten staff records, and two board officer records were reviewed.
The information gathered during the inspection determined no violations with applicable standards or law. No violations were issued.
