A mandated monitoring inspection was conducted on March 21, 2024 from 11:10am-1:00pm. There were 31 children in care with 8 staff supervising. Children were observed listening to a book, playing with blocks, The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas of administration, physical plant, staffing and supervision, programming, medication, special care and emergencies and nutrition. A total of 5 child records and 5 staff records were reviewed.
Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

Standard #: 8VAC20-780-270-A Description: Based on observation, the center did not ensure all areas. inside and outside, shall be maintained in a safe condition.
Evidence: The playground surfacing on the back playground is split open and has created gaps between the resilient surfacing exposing the dirt. These cracks and gaps cause a tripping hazard for children.Plan of Correction: Not available online. Contact Inspector for more information.
